I have been blessed by an opportunity to honor my friend Lori who courageously battled cancer and took life by the horns every chance she got. This painting is called 'Healing Promise (in honor of Lori)', and was actually completed while Lori was still alive. When I submitted the piece to the Boots to Heal juried exhibition it never crossed my mind that Lori would not be here to share the news with when I found out the piece was accepted.
Many, many people were praying for Lori's healing and I do believe she received the ultimate healing. I am thankful to be able to use my gifts to remember such a great friend.
